The Alfred Nicholas Memorial gardens are located in Sherbrooke, within the Dandenong Ranges. Entry to the gardens is free which are open from 9am through to 5pm most days (except Christmas). The gardens contain mountain ash tree's with numerous walking tracks, and a lake complete with boathouse. I would well recommend visiting the gardens.
