In November, we visited Grants Picnic Ground in the Sherbrook Forest (Off Monbulk Rd, Belgrave) to allow me to take some photos. I thought it might be nice to bring my daughter and wife along to see some of the birds. The park offers a fenced feeding area / cafe where you can purchase seeds to feed the birds (Grants on Sherbrooke), however in the Picnic areas outside of this you can also use the Barbeques, but feeding of the birds is prohibited.

The trip was fantastic, with many birds (mainly the Cockatoo), but also some Rosella's and even a Laughing Kookaburra.

Given good weather, I would highly recommend the area with Cockatoo's following most visitors seeking seed, flying between cars (below), and even landing on nearby rocks to say hello.
