During a recent Aurora event (which occurred in May 2021), I visited Kilcunda, Victoria to try and capture the Aurora. Sadly it did not fully pan out for me (although I ended up getting some shots at the Observation Tower in Koo Wee Rup). Nonetheless, the night sky down at Kilcunda was stunning so I could not help but capture a few night shots of the sky. This image was taken on a set of stairs down to the beach from the Bass Coast Rail Trail and was captured with a Nikon D610, Tamron 15-30mm (@ 15mm), 30 seconds, f/2.8, ISO 1250. The image was shot with the camera sitting on a Platypod Max and I used the Pluto Trigger to remotely trigger the camera. I used Lightroom (CC) to edit the image.
