Orthodera ministralis

A praying mantis (Orthodera ministralis) which was wandering around the Garden and was spotted by my son so I could not help but take a quick Portrait, the animal was not harmed and was out in a safe location once a few quick images were captured. Image was given a quick and dirty edit in Lightroom CC. Captured on 25/04/2022 with a Sony ILCE-7RM4 and Sigma 150mm F2.8 G Macro @ 150 mm, 1/160 sec at ƒ / 11, ISO 1600. An interesting fact about the Praying Mantis is that They can rotate their heads 180 degrees, which is uncommon for any other insect as the joint of mantids between head and prothorax is flexible.
