Whilst wandering around the garden, my son spotted this praying mantis (Orthodera ministralis), having a love for nature photography I quickly grabbed a portrait shot using my macro lens with a Raynox DCR-250 (magnification adapter) before The mantid was placed in a safe location. The image was given a quick and dirty edit in Lightroom CC and was Captured on 25/04/2022 with a Sony ILCE-7RM4 and Sigma 150mm F2.8 G Macro @ 150 mm, 1/160 sec at ƒ / 11, ISO 1600. An interesting fact about the praying mantid is that they have great agility, mantises have been found to jump with extreme precision, contorting their body midair to land on a precarious and specific target
