I attended a macro animal workshop on Sunday which was run by Narre Warren Fine Art Printing with animals (mainly reptiles) brought along by Aussie Wildlife Displays, one of the reptiles they brought for us to photograph was the  Centralian Rough Knobtailed Gecko (Nephrurus amyae).  They are the largest of the geckoes within their genus (Nephrurus) and their total length reaches up to 15cm with females typically being much larger than males. Short Beaked Echidna

During a trip from Upper Beaconsfield through Guys Hill, my daughter and I came across a Short Beaked Echidna (Tachyglossus aculeatus) wandering through the bush on the side of the road. Having a love for photographing wildlife, I could not help but stop and take some photos from a reasonable distance so as to not scare the animal.
