During a trip from Upper Beaconsfield through Guys Hill, my daughter and I came across a Short Beaked Echidna (Tachyglossus aculeatus) wandering through the bush on the side of the road. Having a love for photographing wildlife, I could not help but stop and take some photos from a reasonable distance so as to not scare the animal. This photo was taken with a Sony A7R 4 and Sigma 150-600mm telephoto. The camera settings were: 1/1250, f/6.3 & ISO 640. The image was edited in Lightroom CC and with Aurora HDR before being finished off in Topaz Denoise AI. Interesting fact about the Echidna: they can live up to 50 years in the wild, although typically on average 10-15 years is more common.
