During a day trip to Tooradin (to have Fish and Chips!) we came across some Silver Gulls (amusingly also known as ‘sea pigeons’) so I could not help but capture a picture of this bird hovering in the wind. As many would know, these birds are opportunists who often wait for humans to drop food in parks or beaches, but they have also been observed stealing food from other birds or animals. Captured on 25/06/2022 with a Sony ILCE-7RM4 and E 28-75mm F2.8-2.8 @ 75 mm, 1/1250 sec at ƒ / 4.0, ISO 100, Edited with Lightroom and Topaz DeNoise AI.

Prev Australian Flatwing (Austroargiolestes icteromelas)
