
I was never a fan of snakes, but do have some level of appreciation for them; that is, I appreciate them being behind the glass :). This snake was within the Reptile Enclosure enjoying a bask.
Since the snake was sitting still, capturing this was fairly simple – except for the lack of light. This required a shutter speed just enough to mitigate motion blur (due to handheld shot), and then an ISO increased to counter the dark environment.
Equipment Used:
As with all of my images, I use Nikon gear. This is not because I think Nikon is better than Canon but just because it is what I got started with and wanted to maintain lens compatibility. The images were captured and edited with the following gear;
- Nikon D610 DSLR
- 150.0 mm f/2.8
- Adobe Lightroom CC
